This post is going to go over my favorite Oregon coast elopement locations. The west coast is gorgeous, and if you’ve ever had the opportunity to explore it, you know how unique these different beaches can be. Especially state to state. Oregon’s coast is both rugged and gorgeous, with unique and beautiful views. So let’s talk about which of these spots make the cut for the best Oregon coast elopement locations.

Cannon Beach

Alright, let’s start with the basics. Not to say the Cannon Beach is basic, far from it. Although, it has become a fairly popular destination for both tourists and elopements. Even the locals love it. It’s known for its famous and gigantic sea stack, Haystack Rock.

There are some cool options here for food and lodging as well. About a ten-minute drive away from the actual beach is Ecola State Park. These trails offer sweeping views of the coast and are truly stunning. If you’re looking for an Oregon coast elopement location that can offer more than one easily accessible spot, Cannon beach might be a great fit for you. Although, I would highly recommend a sunrise elopement to beat the crowds.

Cape Kiwanda

Cape Kiwanda is another beach that has some really stunning sea stacks popping up out of the ocean. But, one of my favorite spots about this location is the big cliff you can hike up to get epic views of the whole place. There are also little rock islands where the waves barely crash that is a seriously beautiful location for portraits.

Cape Kiwanda is located in Pacific City. Right next to this beautiful beach is Pelican Brewery, honestly one of my favorite places to grab a bite and a beer in Oregon. Could make for a fun lunch before a cliff-side ceremony. This would also be a really beautiful place for an elegant picnic. Whatever is your style. Enjoy exploring holes in ocean-side cliff walls, taking photos on the sand dune, or having a bonfire on the beach. There’s also a ton of beautiful camping + more cozy stays nearby. All of that makes Cape Kiwanada one of my favorite Oregon coast elopement locations.

Lincoln City

Lincoln City has a ton of really amazing different things to offer. It has a ton of really great hiking as well as some unique beaches. There’s Road End Recreation Site, which fills the ocean water with beautiful sea stacks and has incredible sunsets. God’s Thumb, is a popular but insane hike. Walk up a cliffside with vast views of the ocean.

Hug Point Recreation Site

This recreation site is one of the best northern Oregon coast elopement locations. It’s not too far from Cannon beach. There are beautiful sea caves, warm toned colored cliffs, and a gorgeous waterfall. During certain times of the year, the tide pools fill with marine life such as starfish.

Whereas this would be an incredible place for an elopement ceremony, make sure you do your research on the tides. This is a super beautiful walk with a lot of scenery to enjoy. Although, if you get caught walking around the beach at the wrong time it can be dangerous with the tides.

Neskowin Beach State Park

Neskowin Beach State Park is an interesting spot, around the middle of the coastline in Oregon. It’s also known as “proposal rock.” There’s an interesting backstory behind this, but it’s well kept its name by being a gorgeous location for photos during proposals and elopements.

Samuel H Boardman State Scenic Corridor

This is my absolute favorite Oregon coast elopement location. It has grown to be a bit more popular over the years, but in my experience, I’ve been able to have some peace and alone time here, as it can be slightly hard to find and steep walk down to the natural bridge. That’s right, there’s a natural bridge going over the ocean.

This location is incredible for a few reasons. The natural bridge is one of them. There is also Secret Beach incredibly close by. A super beautiful and short walk through a wooded area onto a beach with a waterfall. And if that isn’t enough, the Oregon Redwoods is only about ten minutes away. Jedidiah State Park is absolutely another one of my favorite elopement locations. That being said, you can hit all three of these locations in one day and have an amazing adventure elopement filled with hiking and sightseeing.

Tips on planning your Oregon coast elopement

1.) Do a little research on each place that interests you. While doing this research, make sure you look into finding lodging. Whether it is camping, a hotel, or Airbnb. If you’re looking for an Airbnb, check out my list of the best Airbnbs for an Oregon elopement.

2.) Consider what activities you want to include in your day. Are you more interested in a relaxed day, or do you want a location that is near a lot of hiking? Maybe go on a boat ride? Somewhere fancy for dinner? This will help you narrow down your location search as each place won’t offer the same things.
