This engagement session in Bend, Oregon, has a bit of a twist. Rosalie and Gabriel wanted to do some thing a little unique and a little bit more on the editorial side of things. They wanted to choose a unique location, we also still wanted to incorporate the beauty of Oregon in the photos.
So, we landed on the location being at a abandoned gas station in the desert. When we first arrived, we explored the property. There was a somewhat dismantled couch, broken glass, boarded up windows, and it all gave a very broken down western vibe. At first sight, you wouldn’t think that this would be the best location for an engagement session in Bend Oregon.
But as you can see, the photos turned out beautifully and are insanely unique. I love them, and I love that this couple wanted to work with something so different.
Having an Engagement Session in Bend, Oregon
Bend Oregon is filled with Alpine Lakes, snow cat mountain tops, high desert shrubbery, a historic downtown, and tons of national Forest land. The options are honestly endless. This location is the Milton gas station on the side of the highway.
We shot all around the gas station itself for this engagement session in Bend Oregon, and also right in the middle of the road. It’s a pretty long stretch so it’s easy to make sure cars aren’t coming and keep it safe. We also walked a trail down to an old shack. We could see the sun setting on the mountains and popped some champagne. This location accomplish cute and authentic photos of the couple in a beautiful landscape, as well as an editorial style look with the broken down building. Check them out below! If you’re planning your own engagement session, let’s chat! I’d love to help you plan and document the perfect session.
