What is an in-home session? Couples have in-home sessions all of the time. It’s an intimate or lifestyle take on traditional couple sessions. They can be used for engagements, anniversaries, or just for fun to get some new photos together. In-home sessions don’t necessarily have to be inside of your own home, either. This specific in-home session was done at an Airbnb in Bend, Oregon. This was a Dome house with large windows and a ton of natural light pouring into the rooms. The Dome house had a beautiful kitchen, a backyard full of tall pines, a hot tub, and two living rooms. With so many options to choose from, this was a great place for this couple’s cozy in-home session.
What do you do during an in Home Session?
Chelsea and Nick are such a sweet couple. They work constantly and wanted to take a vacation, and document their weekend off. Chelsea brought her adorable golden retriever, who had a blast jumping into all of the photos. In-home sessions can be a lot more intimate than shooting outside. The couple has the opportunity to cozy up on the couch, jump on the bed, or share drinks in a hot tub. It’s an amazing way to capture the raw dynamic of a couple in their most natural state.
Photo Session at the Dome House
During this couple’s in-home session, Chelsea and Nick had started a fire in the living room and drank some wine together while listening to their favorite band. These photos are ADORABLE. Following that, they cuddled their pup together in bed. Once we were done shooting inside, we bundled up and went to the backyard to get some photos of them by the large pine trees. Nick is a professional chef, so they brought a bunch of food to make dinner. I captured them making a few more drinks and cooking together. I got to know this couple so well. They felt super comfortable just acting as they normally would on a Saturday night.
