This Skyliner Lodge elopement located in Bend Oregon was absolutely stunning. Paige and Cody really wanted to include their closest friends and family on their day. Skyline Lodge was a perfect choice for them for a few reasons. They are incredibly outdoorsy and wanted to be surrounded by nature throughout their wedding day but also have somewhere big enough to host some guests, have dinner, and do some dancing.
Skyliner Lodge
This venue includes a cabin with a few rooms, one for both the bride and groom to get ready, and a big kitchen. Additionally, the kitchen is an awesome added bonus for someone who wants caterers to prepare a meal for their guests! Right outside of the cabin is the ceremony location. The views are absolutely stunning. Paige and Cody positioned their arch right at the edge of a cliffside.
This overlooks the mountains and the river. Right next to the ceremony location is an open area surrounded by large pine trees. It has more than enough rooms for tables for the perfect intimate reception. Finally, there is a big dance floor surrounded by string lights in the woods. Once the sun sets, the views of the stars are unobstructed and jaw-dropping. All of these amazing features make for the perfect intimate wedding and the cost of this venue is only $500.00. Hell. Yes. Skyliner Lodge is the perfect venue for an elopement.
The Ceremony
Once Paige and Cody’s guests arrived at the venue, it was time to get this show on the road. Cody walked down to the arch on the cliffside and waited to see his stunning bride. Paige walked out of the cabin and down the stairs through the aisle decorated with wooden chairs and gorgeous florals. They had a short (but incredibly sweet) ceremony and read their own vows to one another. After they shared their first kiss they exited the cabin and got ready for their reception.
The Reception at Skyliner Lodge
Paige and Cody rejoined their guests after spending some time alone together. They had got wood stove pizza for their reception (it was amazing.) Once everyone had gotten their food, people starting giving toasts to the newlyweds. As soon as the toasts were finished, we popped champagne and started dancing. Paige and Cody’s elopement at Skyliner Lodge was so intimate and heartwarming.
Eventually, the sun started to get lower in the sky, so we snuck off to the river to take some photos. The bride and groom walked along the river during golden hour and danced. We got some amazing shots along our walk. One of my favorite parts of any wedding day is getting to spend 20-30 minutes goofing off with just the couple and making some freaking photo magic. Once we were finished, we headed back to the reception. Everyone was dancing under the stars. Paige and Cody joined them and they spent the night drinking, eating, and dancing together. It was such a sweet ending to their elopement at Skyliner Lodge. After the night ended, the couple prepared to head out for a backpacking honeymoon trip.
