Seattle has endless nearby elopement locations. The Seattle International Airport in Washington State is an hour and a half from Mt. Rainier, 3 hours from Mt. St. Helens, and 2 hours from Olympic National Park. This makes flying into Seattle a great choice due to its proximity to gorgeous National Parks and National Forests. There are also a ton of close by Seattle elopement locations if you don’t want to venture too far outside of the city.

Gold Creek Pond

seattle elopement locations

Gold Creek Pond is a beautiful Seattle elopement location just one hour from the airport. This is also a very easy hike for couples who want to be in a stunning location but don’t want to spend most of their day on the trails. It’s only 1.2 miles, and you can find more information about the hike here!

RattleSnake Lake

Rattlesnake lake is a beautiful Seattle elopement location less than an hour from downtown Seattle (depending on traffic, of course. Wether you just want to drive to the recreation area, or you want to hike rattlesnake ledge. This beautiful location offers something nearby Seattle to both hikers and non-hikers.

Tree House Point

seattle elopement locations

Tree house point is such a gorgeous and unique Seattle elopement location. About 40 minutes from Seattle, this is a resort made up of treehouses. Not only can you stay here and get wildly unique getting ready photos, but it’s also a perfect place to elope and easily explore surrounding areas such as three forks recreation area. That being said, you could pick this as your elopement location all on it’s own, or have a ceremony in one of the close by natural areas and get multiple stunning landscapes

Mt. St Helens

Mt. St. Helens is one of my favorite Seattle elopement locations. It is three hours from Seattle, but well worth the drive. This location gives stunning mountain views and is littered with wildflowers in the summer. It has a lot of similar landscapes to Mt. Rainier, but a lot less traffic and also has less permit restrictions.

Mt. Rainier

seattle elopement location

Mt. Rainier is a popular Seattle elopement location, and for good reason. It’s about an hour and a half from Seattle, and is absolutely breath taking. This park is filled with mountain views, wildflowers, alpine lakes, meadows, and waterfall. The entire place feels like magic. There are some location restrictions if you’re bringing guests, and can have crowds. However, there’s many “hidden gem” locations as well as beautiful options such as Tipsoo Lake for group ceremonies.

Olympic National Park

Olympic National Park is majestic, to say the least. Famous for the Hoh Rain Forest and dense mossy greens. This park also has stunning mountain locations such as hurricane ridge, and you can easily access the coast as well. This is a perfect Seattle elopement location if you’re trying to explore an array of different breath taking landscapes.

Ruby Beach

If you’re looking for moody, rugged shoreline out of your Seattle elopement location, Ruby beach is a perfect choice for you. This location is 3 hours outside of Seattle, but well worth the journey. It’s also incredibly close to Forks, Washington. And inside of Olympic National Park. This gives you a ton of options for places or activities to include in your elopement.

North Cascades National Park

If you’re looking for a wild elopement location, North Cascades National Park may be the perfect choice for you. This place truly feels like the wilderness and the one that most reminds me of living in Alaska. Glaciers, lakes, and rugged peaks are all over this park. This is a good location for both couples who want to do serious hiking, or couples who would prefer scenic driving and exploring walk up areas. There’s also a lot of wildlife, so don’t forget to bring the bear spray.

Mt. Baker

Mt. Baker is another one of my favorite Seattle elopement locations. You can do scenic driving along the Mt. Baker scenic byway, visting lakes and other mountains. Or, you can go to the iconic Artist’s Point. There’s of course, plenty of hikes for the couples who want to spend their day adventuring.

Gifford Pinchot National Forest

Lakes and waterfalls are grand takeaway from this Seattle Elopement location. National forests always have less foot traffic than National Parks, and are easier to get special use permits. This location is 3 hours from the Seattle airport. There are endless things to see around here, and is a great choice for couples who want some easier hikes and love being around water features.
