This Smith Rock winter elopement was incredible! Smith Rock is about 25 miles from Bend, located in Central Oregon. It’s a popular spot due to its stunning views, the ability to rock climb, and the hikes around the river. Although, it’s a lot less busy in the winter. It’s a perfect place to have a “just us” adventure elopement session. The view from Misery Ridge is hard to beat. It’s also an amazing spot for a ceremony. Despite the name, the hike isn’t actually that daunting.

Taylor and Grace chose this location for their winter elopement. It was a perfect place to capture photos of their first look right above the river. We were also focused on capturing their romance, as well as their more adventurous side. They brought along jackets to keep them warm while we explored the area to find the perfect spots to photograph their winter elopement. Smith Rock Winter Elopement Ceremony 

All of this helped my couple to enjoy their elopement without any pressure and kept smiles on their faces the entire time we were shooting. We found the perfect spot for their ceremony. Grace and Taylor recited some adorable vows to each other. We went on a small hike and they told me more about their story. We played a ton of music while adventuring through the rest of the park. Once the sun started to go down, we hiked back up to the top of the canyon. We all watched the sunset together after getting a few more photos.
