Finding a wedding venue is hard. There’s an intensive amount of options, but maybe you also want something with specific features or a venue that includes a coordinator and catering. This research can be stressful. It always feels like wedding venue websites never have all of the information needed. Well, if you feel like that then you’re in the right place! I have compiled my top favorite wedding venues for outdoorsy couples who want to get married in what inspires them the most; nature! Read on to see the best venues in Oregon!

MT HOOD SKI BOWL

This venue is the first on my list. It was the most unique venue I personally had heard of when I first moved here to Oregon. This venue is about an hour outside of Portland, with jaw-dropping views of the cascade mountain range. There is a ski chair-lift that takes you mid-mountain where the ceremony and reception area is. The ceremony area includes Alpine slides that take you back down the mountain! It is gorgeous, unique, and its staff can help with so much of the planning.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The venue site fee starts at $3000.00 and can seat 250 people. They offer shuttle services to get your guests from the city to the venue. The space has a dressing room, reception space, ceremony space, a dance floor, and their staff offers tent rentals and set up if you’re looking to have an indoor space. As far as planning your event, the venue offers a coordinator, catering, bar service, staff service for set up and tear down. It also includes rental and tent service to get you what you need to bring your mountainside wedding vision come to life!

UNIQUE FEATURES

I can’t get over those chair-lifts that give your guests wild views of Mt. Hood as you ascend to the ceremony site. And the alpine slides! I haven’t seen this anywhere else, and it’s fun for all of the guests. Mt. Hood Ski Bowl works with Collins Lake Resort to add lodging for your guests into their package in 2-3 bedroom chalets as well as luxury condominiums. FIVE OAKS FARMS

Five Oaks Farms is a newer wedding venue, hosting its first wedding in September of 2019. Five Oaks has been hosting events for 30 years and finally added weddings to its repertoire. I personally am STOKED about it. Their land offers views of a beautiful spring-fed lake in the gorgeous Willamette Valley. All while incorporating their rustic barn and a large bonfire pit for guests. This venue has some extremely unique features! If you’re into glamping under the stars, read on.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The venue site fee starts at $1000.00 and can seat upwards of 250+ guests. All of them can camp at this on their beautiful land! This space has a newly remolded barn and provides styling and event/furniture rentals to bring your wedding vision to life. They also include an event planner that can help you with all the steps to get you to your special day. Their bar staff will help you select a drink menu, whether you want specialty beer, wine, or liquor. They have a list of vendors to help you find a DJ and food catering! Though they also have a wood fire stove and offer their own food as well, including some bomb pizza made from their very own stove oven. This is definitely one of the best venues in Oregon and a hidden gem!

UNIQUE FEATURES

This venune owns a ton of a land. All of which which is all absolutely stunning by the way. And it all has potential for canvas tent camping or glamping! This is an incredibly fun way to lodge your outdoorsy guests under the glowing stars of the Willamette. It’s also perfect for an elopement with just a few guests. They will pretty much create a pop-up glamping village retreat for you and your guests! These tents are styled by their Portland rental team who will make the site cozy and dream-like. This sounds like an absolute once in a lifetime experience! MT. HOOD ORGANIC FARMS

When I first moved to Oregon, I realized I was in one of the most beautiful states in this country. And as a wedding photographer, I got curious. What venue would I pick? And then I found this bad boy, an absolutely breathtaking venue featuring views of Mt. Hood. Including amazing florals, 200 acres of jaw-dropping scenics with hiking trails, and a pond, all with an elegant indoor reception area. I’m obsessed.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The venue site fee starts at $7,450.00 and can seat up to 200 guests. This venue includes a beautiful indoor space, created with large floor-to-ceiling windows for tons of natural light. This also gives you 360 views of the mountains even from inside. The mountain views extend to their outdoor space where you can exchange your vows in front of Mt. Hood. This venue requires you to work with their designated on-site event coordinator. Food menus can be created by Ginger Power. This is their caterer who creates organic, elegant, family-style courses. Alcohol is served by  Cultivate Catering Bartenders. They also provide a fully established kitchen, dance floor, and optional overnight accommodations. Although, they do not allow dogs, camping, and don’t have a dressing room.

UNIQUE FEATURES

I personally think the best part of this venue is the park-like features. If you’re having guests from out of state, this will give them the perfect taste of Oregon. This property is full of hiking trails with striking mountain views. There are orchards that your guests are free to visit during your wedding day. As a photographer, I can tell you that this place will lead to you having some of the most majestic and eccentric wedding photos and is an absolute dream for a couple that admires nature. If you’re wanting your day to be both lavish and outdoorsy, take a deeper look at it here. And please bring me with you, this place is a dreamscape.

TIMBERLINE LODGE

Timberline Lodge is an absolute classic wedding destination. They have so many in-house venues to choose from. This was also the hotel used in the horror classic, The Shining, and the movie was partially filmed at this location. If you’re as into horror movies, this is such an amazingly cool bonus to this already incredible venue. Timberline has options for everyone. Whether you want to be inside, outside, or a little of both. They also specifically have intimate wedding packages if you’re looking to elope! Timberline is classically known as one of the best venues in Oregon!

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Timberline has so many venue options, but their site fee generally starts at around $6,405.00. They can seat up to 350 people. Their venues include their patio, amphitheater, and indoor venues around their gigantic fireplace. You can take a look at some of these options here. They also offer lodging for your guests in up-scale cozy hotel rooms. The catering options are out of this world. You can have a buffet, hors d’oeuvres, or plate to the table. Timberline has it all and offers a build-your-own-wedding package. The best way to get started on making decisions for your food, drink, and venue, is taking a look at their guide that includes all of that as well as accommodation and vendor options.

UNIQUE FEATURES

I feel like I’ve mentioned the number of options at this place so many times, let me get into more detail. Your wedding can be anything you want here, you can ski down the mountain with your fiancé, go to the spa with your bridesmaids, hike the trails that connect to the famous PCT, have brunch with your friends and family, or have a buffet-style rehearsal dinner and lodge all your guests inside of this historic and beautiful resort. PRONGHORN RESORT

This venue also offers multiple different location options here in Bend, Oregon. All of them are absolutely amazing. They have five different venue locations, which can be indoor and outdoor. One being inside of a legitimate lava cave that is hidden underground. You read that right, a freaking lava cave. If you’ve never considered having your wedding inside of a lava cave, that’s actually perfectly normal. Should you consider it? Probably. Read on!

WHAT’S INCLUDED

This venue has multiple venues with site fees starting at $5000.00-$8,500 depending on your venue choice and can seat 30-300 based on which venue you go with. They have options of beautiful indoor locations that can seat up to 150 people, with a terrace that opens up to views of the cascade range. The outdoor locations are equally as mesmerizing, with the high desert setting, lake, and views of Mt. Bachelor, their outdoor locations can seat up to 300. And then, of course, the lava cave, a one-of-a-kind venue that can fit a table, DJ, and seats around 30 people. They include event planning, rentals service, allow outside vendors, shuttle service, and is pet friendly! Bring your dogs! Their staff and catering offer bar service, cocktails hours, plated dinners, or station-styled dinners.

UNIQUE FEATURES

Pronghorn resort is unique in so many ways, their venue options being one of my favorites. The event island gives you a private experience by being just that, an island on a lake! I also can’t stress the cave enough. If you are hosting an intimate wedding and want to blow your guests away with a once in a lifetime experience, this is where you need to go. Pronghorn can also offer lodging for your guests, and has an amazing and highly rated spa, and tons of bars and restaurants for your guests to visit if they book a whole weekend stay. There’s a pool for the kids (or you,) helicopter tours, a golf course, cycle pub, and more. BRASADA RANCH

This venue has a lot to offer, it was also voted the #1 wedding venue in Oregon. This probably comes from the fact that it feels cozy and rustic yet has vast mountain views, tons of dining options, ceremony options, and one of the best spas in Oregon too (perfect for a bride getting ready for her big day after all the stressful months of planning.) They have the capacity to host large weddings but also specifically cater to intimate weddings! They also have tons of glowing reviews you can check out right on their website.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Brasada’s site fee starts at $900.00-$3000.00 and can seat 300 people. They offer multiple ceremony and reception options at their well-known barn which is completely customizable and has panoramic views of the cascade range and high desert landscape. The Range is another option if you’re looking for an inside/outside venue that has those “is-this-even-real” views and an elegant indoor area. For those of you looking for an intimate wedding, the outback butte is an awesome option that is accessible  by horse-back, which is wildly romantic if you ask me. If those options aren’t enough for you, click here to see the rest! Brasada’s chefs are ready to help you create your own unique farm-to-table menu as well as their one-of-a-kind Brasada cake’s! Their on-site coordinator will help you with all of the planning, and their staff will take care of set up and tear down.

UNIQUE FEATURES

This resort is naturally gorgeous, wether it’s set up for a wedding or not. A lot of couples will choose to have their ceremony outside and then bring their reception into one of the amazing restaurants or bars that Brasada has to offer, already set up for dignified dinners, this makes your reception easy and fashionable by nature. This venue offers luxury lodging for any of your guests, (including dog friendly options!) with their award-winning spa, expansive golf-course, beautiful pool-side bar, and inviting dining options, your guests are bound to have an absolutely amazing time. BLACK BUTTE RANCH

One of the most scenic venue’s located in Sisters, Oregon, this can be a dream venue where any vision can be brought to life. Their day-of-coordinator will help you take your ideas and style and bring them to life in a magical way in an ethereal location. This is a 1,800 acre resort where the air smells of pine and the water is pristine, all while providing views of those mountain peaks and watching them glow at sunset. Black Butte Ranch makes it easy, who says you have to work hard to have the best?

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The venue site fee starts at $5000.00 and can seat up to 200 people. Black Butte offers a bridal lounge, an indoor lodge area, lodge deck, outdoor lawn, and fire ring for receptions and ceremonies. Their indoor facilities are open for winter weddings as well! Their catering staff can help you create your perfect menu or buffet, and on-site coordinator will take all the stress of your shoulders from planning. They also include a complimentary ceremony rehearsal! Their sparkling lake is a beautiful place to seal the deal, and then take a romantic kayak ride. Don’t forget to take your photographer (hi!)

Outside of being one of the most beautiful venue’s on this list, they have extra experiences you can add for you and your wedding guests including: bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, golf outings, spa days, far-well brunch, and lodging! This venue is also pet friendly which is big plus to those of us with furry friends. Black Butte also offers two different elopement packages, a Couple Only package ($500.00) and an Intimate Wedding Package ($2000.00) which includes an officiant, their outdoor venue location, their on-site coordinator, and more! TETHEROW

This venue is a modern hotel seven minutes from downtown Bend, Oregon with stunning accessibility to all of the local shops, breweries, and restaurants, while still offering those astonishing views of the mountains. This venue has one of my all-time favorite indoor locations, with large windows and glass doors, it provides amazing visibility during the entirety of your wedding day. The open-air pavilion provides an amazing space to host your cocktail hour or reception. They include some pretty great things like group food tasting, glassware, flatware, and classic white wedding china.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The venue site fee starts at $5000.00 and seats up to 250 people. Included in the room rental fee is set up and tear down, as well as ceremony and reception tables, chairs, linens, and more. Tetherow has two unique venues, one being their event pillion, and the Newberry-Zaal Ballroom, and they offed outdoor ceremonies looking out at their golf courses and mountains. This venue is available year round, has winter incentives, and includes golf for the bride and groom, and discounted rates for wedding parties. All catering and food must come through Tetherow’s talented chefs and they offer appetizers, buffets, plated meals, and full bar service, and cake can come from outside vendors. This venue also offers your guest the ability to lodge with them, all of this information is in their brochure.

UNIQUE FEATURES

Outside of the picturesque views that seem to never end, Tetherow also offers unique things like being able to build a wedding experience package. They offer yoga, golf, fitness, downtime by the pool, cabana parties, wine tasting, making your wedding a full-day event, or multiple-day retreat. This venue is right in the heart of Bend, Oregon.  Tetherow also has vacation rentals that are amazing so a whole family can stay together, it also can be used as a bridal suite, or even used by the bride and groom, and it has a hot tub! ELK LAKE RESORT

This venue is located along the beautiful cascade lakes highway, surrounded by pine trees and immaculate water, it is an absolutely beautiful retreat for anyone and an incredible place to seal the deal. The entire time you’re at Elk Lake you are surrounded by expansive views that make you feel like you’re in a fairy-tale, all while having the option to keep it simple or make it elegant. Host your dinner as BBQ or pick a more formal menu, go glamping under the stars, or lodge in one of their upscale homes. Whatever you decide, their on-site coordinator is there to make it happen for you.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The North Shore venue site fee starts at $5000.00 and can seat up to 150 people. The wedding site includes an impeccable private beach, a ceremony area with Elk Lake in your background, rustic log seating, and an expansive dining area covered by a gorgeous reception tent. The wedding site is available from 8:00AM-10:00PM and includes two toilets, golf cart for transportation, a boathouse for for beverage service, event staff set up and break down, and marina rentals! If you are looking to have catering at your wedding, Elk Lake Resort have experienced chefs to make all of that possible, creating a menu for you that is created from local and organic ingredients.

UNIQUE FEATURES

Did I mention the Marina Rentals that come with your wedding package? They have kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats, scenic cruises, and paddleboards! When you reserve Elk Lake as your wedding venue, you can also let them know which water-craft items you would like to reserve for you and your guests during your wedding day. This is another venue that helps your guests get the full Oregon experience, spending the day on the lake surrounded by big trees and breathing in the fresh air, all to end with a beautiful sunset over the mountains and have lodged in rustic cabins. My favorite part about living in Bend is getting out on those lakes, enjoying the sun, and seeing the reflection of the sun going down in the water when a perfect day comes to an end. SUNRIVER RESORT

This venue is the last on my list but by far one of my favorite wedding venues in Oregon. This venue has so many options including winter weddings, so whether you want to be surrounded by snowy landscape or have your wedding on their event lawn, all of their options are filled with remarkable outdoor beauty. Are you looking to have an intimate wedding? Large Wedding? Buffet? Plated meal? Lodging? Spa? They have everything and they make the entire process incredibly simple. It’s also just a flat-out gorgeous place to be. It’s easily one of the best venues in Oregon!

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Sunriver has about nine different venue options within the resort for you to choose from, starting approximately and $6000.00 and can seat up to 300 guests. They have multiple unique and striking venues that you can take a look at here and venue options specifically for intimate weddings here. Let’s talk about their catering options, you can pretty much do whatever your heart desires. Do you want to have a build your own quesadilla station? A romantic cocktail hour? Delicious sweets? Elegantly plated dishes? Looking at their food brochure genuinely makes me hungry, and all of their ingredients are fresh, fine, and local. Once you book a venue with them, they also include their River Lodge Guest-room for the bride and groom on their wedding night. They have staged for entertainment, bar services, a professional staff, cake cutting, and a one-hour rehearsal.

UNIQUE FEATURES

Sunriver resort won Brides Magazine Best of 2019, and for good reason. Between the amazing location, food, staff, and incredible lodging, there’s still even more to offer. Spa day, championship golf, winter sleigh rides, yoga, tennis, fall carriage rides, and their nature center, there is truly something here for everyone. Pick any of these things to add to your wedding and turn your day into a story-telling experience that is not only is romantic but keeps you and your guests rejuvenated and having the times of their lives.
