“Can I elope at an Airbnb?

The answer is, hell yes you can! Whether you pick to elope at an Airbnb in a beautiful remote location, or one close to a national park, national forest, mountain range, or beach, any of these are amazing options. Why? People who elope generally pick the same place they want to spend their honeymoon at. Picking an Airbnb near your elopement location and all of the other things you want to see makes the trip feel like a wedding and a honeymoon. You will absolutely save money eloping over having a big traditional wedding, but you’re still getting married. Spend some of that saved wedding fund on lodging that feels unique, adventurous, and romantic. Here are my favorite Airbnbs for a Hawaii Elopement!

Townhome in Kauai, Hawaii.

This townhome is located on the north shore of Kauai. It is fully updated with air conditioning, a spacious floorplan, and a new kitchen. This would be a great hawaii elopement location if you don’t plan to invite any family and just want a space for you and your partner. Kauai is filled with gorgeous beaches, waterfalls, and tons of cliffs for cliff jumping (if you’re into that.)

Get access to a resort-style pool, or go on solo adventures to the nearby beaches and trailheads. There is also a lot of nightlife in this area for couples who want to enjoy a good meal or a drink at a bar. Check it out here!

Tropical Airbnb in Kauai, Hawaii.

If you’re choosing Kauai for your Hawaii elopement, you likely wanted to be surrounded by the lush greenery, palm trees, and sounds of nature. This gorgeous guest house has two bedrooms and is made up of huge windows giving you gorgeous views all day long. This location is also SUPER close to the beautiful Hanalei Bay

This space would also be best for a “just-us” elopement as there isn’t room to host a reception, and is quite an intimate space. Although, this location is located near some decent nightlife. If you’re eloping and want to involve some friends and family, have them book a nearby hotel and meet you out for a dinner of your choice, some drinks, or some dancing. Maybe even go to a luau. See if this location has your date available here!

Condo on North Shore, Kauai, Hawaii.

This is another Hawaii Airbnb that is located on the North Shore of Kauai. It is within walking distance of shops, golfing, beaches, yoga, and trailheads. A 10-minute walk away is Anini beach an amazing location for snorkeling. The hosts even provide snorkels and other beach equipment like chairs and boogie boards!

This location also gives you access to a pool. Fill your elopement day with unique activities, dips in the water, and maybe a sunset ceremony on the beach. Come back home to an evening dip in the pool, and relax together in this gorgeous location. This Airbnb is a bit more budget-friendly but is still in the same amazing location as the lodging options listed above. Read more about it here!

Ocean-view Penthouse in Kauai, Hawaii.

For luxury lovers, come stay at this amazing honeymoon location for your elopement and get views of the ocean from every room. Watch whales from bed, or listen to the sound of the crashing waves. You can also see the colorful coral reef at Anani beach right from this location.

This penthouse also has AC. Note that not all homes or Airbnb’s in Hawaii have air conditioning. Looking for a different way to cool off? Check out the beautiful pool with your partner. Spend the day exploring the north shore, or drive around to other parts of the island. Watch the sunrise from the day bed, hike to a waterfall and say your vows, and then enjoy dinner in town before heading back to your penthouse. This is an amazing Airbnb for your Hawaii elopement. Loft in Honolulu, Hawaii.

One of the most popular islands of Hawaii is Oahu. This is primarily because it is the most “developed.” It offers a lot for visitors to do, along with incredible beaches and amazing food. This Airbnb is perfect for couples who want to enjoy city life but have a place more laid back just outside of town. Enjoy both ocean views and private pools, all while being a short drive away from the city.

Oahu has so much to offer. Authentic Hawaiian food trucks, swings hanging from palm trees, surfboard rentals, amazing hikes, and the classic Jurrasic Park jungle views. Have your elopement on a cliffside and then spend the day visiting beaches or hiking. The options here are seriously limitless. Interested in this spot for your Airbnb Hawaii elopement? Beach Front Condo in Maui, Hawaii.

Maui is arguably one of the most beautiful islands in Hawaii. This is a matter of personal opinion, but there is less tourism than on Oahu or Big Island, even though it boasts beautiful turquoise water and amazing hikes. Soak in those amazing views with this incredible Airbnb. Enjoy beachfront access with your partner and an open floor plan that brings the sea breeze into the condo all day. You can even see the ocean from the (heated) pool.

This place is seriously romantic, and who doesn’t want a charming place to come back to at the end of their wedding day? This place also has a California King size bed. I have always wanted to sleep in one of those. The condo is located right in the heart of South Kihei, near both Charley Young Beach as well as Kalama Beach Park. Two gorgeous gorgeous locations that would be perfect for an elopement ceremony. Ready to start planning your Hawaii Airbnb elopement? Let’s go.

Looking for a little bit of zen on your wedding day? the Zen Suite is tucked away on the slopes of Hualālai and is a 5-minute drive from Kona’s cafes, shops, and many beaches. Pair this beautiful and relaxing location with the city and nature, and you’re in for an amazing elopement day.

Keep in mind that there is no AC (like many homes in Hawaii) and the backyard space is shared with a few other suites. Still, this is a beautiful and unique location that would be the perfect end to an incredible day with your new forever partner. This spot would actually be perfect for an intimate couples photoshoot too! Never forget, your wedding photos can be as unique as you. Still looking for a photographer? Hi, I can help.

Koi House on Big Island, Hawaii.

The Koi House is a home that echos a relaxed way of life. It is an open-air space with plants, a koi fish pond, natural and upcycled materials, and serene forest & ocean views on Big Island. Enjoy a serene space with your partner in an eclectic and peaceful spot after a day of adventuring and saying your vows.

The outdoor kitchen and pool are a shared space with two other Airbnbs. This could be good for couples who are happy to meet others during their travels. Alternatively, if you’re looking to invite friends or family, you could look into renting all three of these Airbnbs. This way, you can experience privacy with your partner but also have a space to be with those you love most and celebrate. Read more about this amazing spot for a Hawaii Airbnb elopement.

A perfect way to enjoy a gorgeous space together while celebrating, but also have your much-needed privacy.

Enjoy a unique rainforest atmosphere and 24-hour access to a hot tub! Nearby are beaches, Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, Kapapala Forest Reserve, and a ton of amazing clear water beaches. Jungle Cabin on Big Island, Hawaii.

Nestled in a lush guava tree grove, this tropical sanctuary offers the nature sounds of camping with the comforts of a cozy bungalow. This would be a magic place to end your wedding day. The location itself would make any nature lovers happy. Use the outdoor rainfall shower, stargaze in the pool, or grill up some locally caught fish. Honestly, this place is exactly my speed and couldn’t get any better.

Close by are many rainforests and beaches. Say your vows somewhere you love, go to a gorgeous location for pictures, have a picnic in a hammock, the day is yours. Big Island is such a great option for an elopement because there are so many different activities and landscapes. And if you like privacy, coming back to this bungalow in the rainforest will be a perfect way to end your day.

Treehouse on Big Island, Hawaii.

Last but absolutely not least is a treehouse. A freaking treehouse. just 15 minutes from downtown Kona and 10 minutes from the Kona Airport, this getaway built in a Kukui Nut Tree lets guests reside 15 feet above ground with tree trunks going straight up through the center of the living space. There are 200 fruit trees on the property where you will have access to seasonal fresh fruit. They have fresh eggs too! AND a hot tub. It doesn’t get better.
